These olive trees in front of the church at Tzintzuntzan are over 500 years old. They were brought over from Spain when Mexico was first settled by the Spanish. We did a little tree-hugging ceremony around this ancient tree -- and thought of how appropriate it is that an olive branch is the symbol of peace.
