The second pyramid site we visited was Ihuatzio, the third imperial center of the Purepecha. This site is more remote, accessible only over a dirt road and thus less visited. A ceremonial rather than an administrative center, the energy here was pure and strong. We had our lunch before touring around the pyramids themselves.
